Friday2027

Dipavali is the festival of lights, observed by offering lamps and remembering the Lord's protection, mercy and celebrated pastimes.

Significance of this day

Vaishnava traditions connect the day with Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya and, during Kartik, with offerings of light to Lord Damodara.

How it is observed at ISKCON Asansol

  • Devotees offer ghee lamps, illuminate the temple, chant the holy names and share prasadam in a mood of gratitude.

Dates follow the authentic Gaudiya Vaishnava calendar observed at ISKCON Mayapur, calculated for our region. Timings for fasting and breaking the fast are announced at the temple.
