An observance honouring Srimati Tulasi Devi, the most dear devotee of Lord Krishna in the form of a sacred plant.

Significance of this day

No offering to Lord Krishna is complete without a Tulasi leaf; Tulasi Devi is worshipped daily in every ISKCON temple with the song 'Vrinda Devi Ashtakam' and Tulasi arati.

Circumambulating and watering Tulasi Devi is said to award devotion to Krishna's lotus feet.

How it is observed at ISKCON Asansol

• Special Tulasi puja, offering of ghee lamp and water, kirtan and distribution of Tulasi manjaris.
